Transformers are capital goods with a life expectancy for decades. For this reason, the buyer should not only consider the initial costs of the transformer but also the estimated maintenance costs as well as the costs of no-load losses of the iron core and load losses of the winding.

The core is selected according to the desired level of no-load losses.It consist of cold-rolled,grain-orented magnetic sheets of the highest quality. The most advantageous transfer of the magnetic flux from legs to yoke is achieved by overlapping the opposing joint on neighbour sheet.The cutting angle amounts to 45°.
This reduces the values of no-load losses and no-load currents as well as noise and increase the mechanical solidity.
Cross-sections of yokes and legs are nearly round due to the staggered width of the sheets.
The core legs are cut and laid in an automatic cut -to-length equipment
The insertion of the lower yokes is carried out in a special device.


External tie rods connect the upper and lower clampings made from U-channel.This creates a rigid support for core ,windings andoutlets.Bases, on which rests the total weight of the core,taken care for necessary steadiness of the core-coil assembly in the tank.


For almost three decades an impulse-voltage and short-circuit proof combination of LV winding and HV layer winding has proved in CREL Distribution Transformers.


The tank and cover are made of lamination-free quality steel. sand blasting is carried out before painting. Coating is done with selected enamels which are testde regularly during application.
